Kalle Heinonen joins Omniture

Omniture sealed the services of Kalle Heinonen last week. I know Kalle well and knew most of the offers he was mulling over since he left Trainers House back in May. He was always going to remain in the Analytics industry but where and with who was for a while uncertain.

His job is to help Omniture build their business in this part of the world. This is positive news for Omniture and for Trainers house as Omnitures biggest partner in Finland.

Kalle will step down from his role as the Web analytics associations country manager of Finland after we have found a suitable replacement. We intend to build a board of directors for the Finnish WAA and Kalle will continue to run the Finnish operations until the new board we install votes in a new country manager (to act as a Finnish Chairman and report to the International committee)

I’ll look forward to continue working with Kalle in the future.

Steve is a well known analytics specialist, author and speaker. A pioneer since 2002, he established one of the first European web analytics consultancies (Aboavista), later acquired by Satama (now Trainers’ House) in 2006. In 2008 he wrote his first book Cult Of Analytics published on May 14th 2009. He currently serves as CEO at Quru and has presented and keynoted web analytics topics across Europe. These include The Internet Marketing Conference (Stockholm), The Search Engine strategies (Stockholm), IIH (Copenhagen), the IAB Finland (Helsinki), Media Plaza (Amsterdam), Design For Conversion (Amsterdam) The eMetrics Summit (London, Munich, Stockholm), Divia (Helsinki) in addition to sitting on dozens of panels.

    Congrats, Kalle.
Happy you’ll stay in web analytics. :)

  3. Kalle says:

Thanks for the kind words Steve, Sampsa and Lars. I guess, that the great learning we can see here is that when a multinational Web Analytics Corporation is investing in Finland it means we – the finns – are actually paying attention abroad. they on the hand seem to realize that local matters – which is great! The Web Analytics is reaching the maturity in Finland and the many analytics users are moving towards acquiring more advanced PEOPLE, TOOLS and PROCESSES. Also, many companies are now looking into investing more to role-specific tools such as the tools for testing, targeting and lead generation. Yeah – so that I guess is the learning we can take with us.

  5. Big congrats from Naviatech Kalle, all the best for the future! : )
